Climbing

Adrenaline meets Alpine idyll

Between rugged walls, sparkling reservoirs and imposing three-thousand-metre peaks, climbing enthusiasts and altitude lovers will find routes for every level – from family-friendly to challenging. A special highlight is the Höhenburg via ferrata arena near the Kaprun high mountain reservoirs. The three routes – Mooser-Mandl, Drossen-Hex and Limberg-Zwerg – offer different levels of difficulty and spectacular views. Things get really exciting on the MOBO 107 via ferrata, which runs directly along the Mooserboden dam – an unforgettable experience for those with a head for heights and one of the most impressive climbing adventures in the Alps.
In addition to the climbs, numerous climbing routes around the Kitzsteinhorn and the rocks of the Rettenwand and Grünsteinfindling invite you to scramble. Those who prefer to be accompanied by professionals can take part in guided climbing and mountain tours – perfect for combining technique, safety and unforgettable views.
